̶i̶n̶d̶i̶v̶i̶d̶u̶a̶l̶ ̶:
a more-than-human zine / poem
I divide myself, into
silkworm-consciousness
moss-knowing
wolf-wisdom
stone-deep-dreaming
& find: no divide after all
(wind understands this)
In spaces, we are
river, cedar, camellia,
spore, sand, star,
before the naming of things—
during the naming of things—
after the naming of things—
we were always this:
everything, touching
everything else
(darkness understands this)
Human, not-human
more-than-human
all-that-is
(stone understands this)
Watch:
how water refuses boundaries
how fungi rejects individuality
how trees speak in centuries
how limestones dream in concrete
(mycelia understands this)
Listen:
plastic-wrapped coral
oil-soaked birds
clear-cut forests
concrete-covered seeds
they are still singing
(silence understands this)
There is no center,
only circles within circles
(bee understands this)
We were never, separate
only, temporarily
confused
(compassion understands this)
breathing…
dying…
becoming…
